Upfront Book Wins Major Award
Posted 17/04/2008Geoff Oldfield's book 'The Governors of the Town Revenues of Whittlesey - 1668 to 1898' has won a major award from the Cambridgeshire Association for Local History. The book was produced and published by Upfront Publishing. Over 250 books about family and local history in Cambridgeshire were published in the last year, and the Association has singled out Geoff's book as the pick of the bunch!
Glowing Review for Tomee's Song

Praise Heaped on 'Beyond This Point...'
Posted 24/08/2007American book review website www.frontstreetreviews.com had plenty of good things to say about 'Beyond This Point There Be Dragons' by Julie Burgess-Wells which was published by Upfront earlier this year (2007). "A little reminiscent of J.R.R. Tolkien, slightly similar to Mary Pope Osborne for more advanced readers, Julie Burgess-Wells has managed to create literature of a new breed, appealing to a variety of audiences," it said.
Chris Dunn RIP
Posted 11/07/2007Upfront Publishing is greatly saddened by the news that prolific author Chris Dunn has passed away after a short illness. Chris had published nine novels, all part of the Contango series, through Upfront and had three more planned. The former Financial Times writer also published six commentaries on the money markets, also through Upfront, under the 'Good Trader' banner. "He was far more than an author to me. He was a good friend," said publishing manager Simon Potter. "I will miss him very much."
